Shop Blocks
Products, a product spotlight and categories as builder elements — so a landing page can sell.
Shop Blocks puts the shop into the builder: a grid or slider of products with Add to basket, one product spotlighted across a section, and category tiles into the shop. An editor picks products by searching for them, or lets the shop choose — a category, a tag, what is on sale, what sells best.
It is a bridge and owns nothing: the builder stays a builder for any model and the shop stays a shop. The cards, the basket button and the tiles are the theme's own, so these elements look and behave exactly like the shop, side basket and sold-out states included.

Changelog
[1.2.0] — 2026-10-22
Code only — no migration.
Changed
- Once a product's description is laid out in the builder, the builder is its only source. Every publish there writes the layout's text — titles, text, buttons as links, images — into the product's own Description, so search, feeds and the connector read what the page shows. Products, categories and raw HTML have no plain form and are left out of that text.
- On the product form the Description field turns read-only while a layout is live, with a note that the builder writes it; a normal Save keeps it as it is.
Added
- Use plain text again beside Edit in the builder: drops the layout and goes back to the plain description, which holds what the builder last published — nothing is lost.
[1.1.0] — 2026-10-22
Added
- A product's description, laid out in the builder. On the product form, right above the Description field: Design with the builder (or Edit in the builder once a layout is live), and a line saying which one the page shows. The builder starts from the description already written, at page width so it lines up with the page's "About this product".
- The product page shows the layout in place of the plain description once it is live, and in the builder's preview while editing. Only the description is the builder's: the gallery, price, options, Add to basket, the "About this product" heading and the rest of the page stay the template's. A product without a layout shows its description as before.
- Two columns on the shop's products table,
builder_contentandbuilder_draft. The shop'sdescriptionis untouched and still used for search results and as the fallback.
[1.0.0] — 2026-10-22
Added
- Shop elements for the builder, so a landing page can sell:
- Products — a grid or a slider of product cards with Add to basket: hand-picked (search and tick, in your order), from a category or a tag, on sale, best-selling or newest; 2–4 columns, up to 24 products.
- Product spotlight — one product across the section: photo, origin line, rating, price (with the sale price), summary and Add to basket; size select for a product with several sizes, "Choose options" for anything that needs its page; photo left or right.
- Categories — category tiles leading into the shop: the main categories or hand-picked ones, with product counts.
- The cards, the basket button and the tiles are the theme's own (
ui/product-card,ui/add-button), so these elements look and behave exactly like the shop, including the side basket and sold-out states. - Product, category and tag search for the builder's pickers, and products and categories for a button's "Choose…".
