Solina

About Solina

Every label names a place, a family and a year.

Solina is a small pantry, not a warehouse. Everything on the shelf comes from a producer we know by name, made in a batch small enough that the year matters. That is why every product here carries the same line — origin, producer, vintage — on the label, on the shelf and on your receipt.

Cured pršut hanging in a Karst drying room.

Kras where it started 2021

It began with one pršut and a question.

A friend's father in Kras cured six hams a year and gave most of them away. We asked why nobody could buy one. The honest answer — that shops want quantity and constancy, and he could offer neither — became the reason this shop exists.

We built the pantry for producers exactly like him: too small for a supermarket, too good to stay a family secret. Six hams a year is not a supply problem here. It is the whole point.

Meet the producers

How a producer joins

Slowly. We visit, we taste across seasons, and we watch how they work before anything is agreed. Most of what we stock is made within a day's drive of the shop, and when a batch sells out, it is out — we do not substitute quietly with something that merely looks the same.

Who packs your order

The same few hands that stock the shelf. If something arrives short of what you expected, tell us — the producer hears about it too, and that feedback loop is most of our quality control.

Named producers

Every product names the family that made it. No white labels, no blends of unknown origin.

Small batches

Vintages sell out and return with the next season — the shelf follows the land, not a forecast.

Packed by us

Orders leave the same counter you would buy from in person, checked by someone who knows the product.
